A two day workshop exploring the katazome process on Japanese papers. Starting with stencil making Purdue will lead participants through all the steps, including rice paste making.  Participants can make their own unique Katazome design kozo paper/stationary using Indigo dyes and another color. You will also learn about some historical background on Katazome with natural dyeing as well as Japanese papermaking through the visual presentation.
